Eventually, McCabe got a job as a ski instructor in Whistler and slept in the parking lot nearby. He jokes he was always the first to arrive at work because the van was so cold.
He spent a year in Whistler teaching two and four year olds how to ski. He mountain biked and bused tables in the offseason, before going to Lakehead University in Thunder Bay so he could be closer to home in a place that still reminded him of the West Coast.
When the spills from mountain biking became too painful, McCabe added tennis to his outdoor sport activities of running and golf.
A member of the London Hunt Club,coach outlet store, he started golfing when he was five years old, learning the sport from grandmother Mary McCabe, who competed twice in the Canadian Ladies Golf Championships (now called the Canadian Women's Open) in the 1930s.
He began running at a young age and in his teens was on the cross country team at the prestigious Ridley College in St. Catharines, where he attended high school.
It was a bit daunting going away to boarding school when he was 14,louis vuitton outlet online, he said.
"I would phone home every day or a couple of times a day because I missed my parents. But by the time Grade 13 rolled around, my parents would phone the school and say, 'Have you seen my son?' "
Today, McCabe still runs.
"It's such an easy way to get a good workout. Golf takes four hours and tennis takes two hours,ferragamo shoes, but you can get a good run in in 45 minutes or an hour and you can leave right from your front door," he said.

"When I first got hired, I thought I would work here until something good came along," he said. "And then it wasn't until I got into sales that I really started taking to the business and taking to a sales position."
Fourteen years later, McCabe is still there, having progressed through the ranks in the business from working in the warehouse to customer service to sales, his sweet spot.
When his father, Jim, retired in 2009, McCabe stepped in to take the helm in the midst of an economic recession. But that didn't stop him and this year the company is slated to have its best year ever.

McCabe spends time travelling across the country to visit clients and brings a calmness and leadership to the organization, said Michelle Merrifield, the company's vice president of operations.
"I've been here for 10 years and I still feel like I'm on my honeymoon you know, when you start a new job? and Jamie certainly plays a role in that," she said.
