Vilitra 20 pill is a medication primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It contains the active ingredient vardenafil, which belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Vardenafil works by inhibiting the enzyme PDE5, which regulates blood flow in the penis. By blocking PDE5, vardenafil increases levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), a substance that relaxes smooth muscles in the penis and allows for increased blood flow, thereby facilitating an erection when sexually stimulated. Vilitra 20 tablets are taken orally with water. The tablet should be swallowed whole without crushing or chewing.
