Vilitra 10, which contains the active ingredient Vardenafil, is primarily metabolized in the liver. The metabolism occurs mainly through the cytochrome P450 enzyme system, particularly the CYP3A4 isoenzyme, with minor contributions from CYP3A5 and CYP2C. Once Vardenafil is metabolized, it produces inactive metabolites that are eventually excreted from the body. A small portion is eliminated through feces, while the majority is excreted in urine. Because Vilitra 10 relies heavily on liver metabolism, patients with liver impairment may experience higher drug levels, increasing the risk of side effects. Monitoring and dose adjustments are often recommended in such cases.
